Lamp Shade Limits:
The lamp hardware I use to rated for use with all bulb wattages.
The limiting factor in any lamp is the size of the top opening of the shade.
If you use too small a shade for the bulb, you can get brown spots on your shade.
Here are the wattage guidelines for shades:
